Product Description
Known for his strut and stomp, the present-day Sir Mick Jagger rose from humble beginnings with his best friend Keith Richards to become the ultimate rock star, an electrifying stage presence who helped the Rolling Stones sell millions of records and inspire sometimes scary levels of devotion from fans, critics, and groupies. Known for his lively, authoritative biographies of noted rockers, Alan Clayson takes on the "Prince of Pout," whose flamboyant performances and over-the-top lifestyle often overshadowed his enormous skill as musician and writer. Clayson delves deep to find what drives Mick, his influences on other performers like Steven Tyler and Bon Jovi, the provocative sense of humor, the years of sexual and drug experimentation, the tragedy at Altamont, and his seminal position in the "free love" movement that made rock and roll life so alluring in the 1960s.

Another Mick Jagger bio
Rating (2)
Date: 2008-11-04
Alex Clayson wrote another biography in which he never talked to Mick Jagger or any one of the actual Rolling Stones. Its mostly a book about the times and situations surrounding the Stones and no new or in depth study of the life in question. My feeling is the author is in love with his own writing or sound of his own voice. I came to dislike the author intensely by the end of the book
