got me thinking about choices for more than just moving

When I read this book, I was sort of thinking I might move west to be closer to my children. The author was older when she moved and I thought her advice and experiences would help another 'older mover'. But as I got into the book, it helped me clarify my own passions and goals. Instead of moving west, I've decided to go back to school for a degree in a field I have always loved. And I've moved into a smaller but cozy place. Thanks,Ann!

Too much of the author's personal experiences and not enough practical advice. How many times did we need to hear about each of her moves?
"Choose to Move" encourages change - read it and smile

"Choose to Move" is about encouraging change, whether you physically relocate or not.
Ann Cabot's chapter on personal belongings "Keepers or Leavers" inspired me to pare down my stuff and simplify my life - great encouragement for my New Year's resolutions!
Her chapter "Making Friends", provides insights and suggestions that are useful for those of us who have been so busy that we only have `work friends' and want to branch out for a richer life.
"Choose to Move" will help you make those changes you dream about in your life.

Ann Cabot has mastered the art of relocating. One of my favorite parts of Choose to Move is Ann's effective plan of action for job seeking in a new town.

So many of us dream of travel and Ann Cabot has turned that dream into a reality. Her book is a delightful combination of memoir and how-to when it comes to moving anywhere in the United States. As a single "older" woman, Cabot shows how anyone with enough curiosity and motivation can discover new places and people. Her personal whimsy and practical advice is an inspiration for anyone who wants to get on the road or just be an armchair traveler.
