This CD not only has an excellant variety of works for solo double bass, but the performances are of a much higher caliber than those on many other double bass recordings. The repetoire chosen covers the full range of styles ranging from Haydn and Eccles to contemporary works such as the Karadimchev. Particularly notable is the performance of Bottesini's "Nel Cor Piu non me Sento".
